| Amy
Anglin is a 2001 graduate of Kennesaw State University where she earned
her Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Management. She is also working
on completing her Master's in Sports Administration at Georgia State University.
She will graduate this May.
Anglin has worked with several sports organizations in the past. Her first experience in the world of sports was as an intern for SCI Sport and Entertainment Marketing in the summer of 2001. At SCI, Amy assisted the company President, and was also involved in planning and organizing celebrity golf tournaments. |

Shanise Drake is the Communications and Awards intern. She hails from Detroit, Michigan. She graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in Journalism. In the fall of 2001, Shanise was a marketing and promotions intern/event worker with the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics at MSU. The opportunity gave her a different perspective on the sports world than what she had experienced as a writer. She worked events with men's and women's basketball, women's volleyball, football and hockey. She helped coordinate half-time events, giveaways and other fan-related activities. |

Joining the WBCA from Austin, Texas, Karina has assumed the position of High School All-America Game intern. She completed her undergraduate degree at Baylor University with a major in Finance. Upon graduation, Karina completed an internship with the recreation department at UCLA where she managed and coordinated summer programs for the university. Currently, Karina is completing her masters at the University of Texas in Kinesiology, specialization in Sport Management. She has had the opportunity to work with such women's programs as soccer, volleyball, and basketball at UT. In addition, she has been a part of event management with the NCAA Women's College Cup and the NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championships. |

| Kata Katanich | |
| Convention Intern (Logistics) | |
| Kata
Katanich is the one of two Convention Logistics interns with the WBCA. Kata
is a native of Baja, Hungary. Kata graduated from UNC-Wilmington in May
2003, with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration, major in marketing.
She was a Division 1 scholarship athlete 1998-2003. She was a member of
the team at UNCW with a season 22-6, best ever in school history. She was
also a member of the NJCAA National Finalist Jefferson Community College
and the 7th best ranked post player in junior college basketball in 1998-1999
season.
Prior to the WBCA, Kata was working as an office assistant in the Academic Affairs and Planning office at UNCW. Where she assisted with the development of the upcoming Undergraduate Course Catalogue. She also has a unique experience of working with international Event planning. She was the Assistant Manager of the Europrint-Online Ltd in her hometown. She played a key role in the development and organization of the Vision conference, which provided retail and distribution opportunities for over 40 businesses in the Eastern European screen printing business. She was also responsible of translation in three languages for the companies website and manage the warehouse inventory. |

Amy Smith |
| Convention Intern (Banquets) | |
| Amy
Smith is 2002 graduate of Dillard University in New Orleans. During college,
she served as the music director and event planner for WDUB, the campus
radio station. She was responsible for obtaining new music and planning
events such as fashion shows and fundraisers for the station. Amy also worked
as the college marketing representative for three major record labels.
Amy earned her degree in Mass Communications in three years and immediately following taught a summer Spanish course for Upward Bound, a college preparatory program for high school students who would be first generation college students. After the summer program ended she began working for the New Orleans Hornets during its inaugural season. With experience in public relations and event planning, Amy became an asset to the front office staff and the ticket sales department. |

| Maurice Wharton | |
| Marketing Intern | |
| Maurice
Wharton, WBCA marketing intern, is a native or Rochester, NY. He recently
graduated from Delaware State University in December 2003, with a Bachelors
o Science in sports management.
Before the WBCA, Maurice interned with the American Hospitality Academy, in Myrtle Beach, SC. During his time there, he served as an activities director for a resort property. He was responsible for operating the recreation department and coordinating all activities Maurice also played basketball for two seasons at SUNY Alfred State, where he was a team captain for the 99-00 seasons. |
