The Charles T. Stoner Law Scholarship Award
Definition
The $1,000 Charles T. Stoner Law Scholarship Award is presented annually to one senior female
collegiate basketball player who intends to pursue a career in law. Any applicant is only eligible
to win one scholarship award.
Eligibility
All senior female collegiate basketball players who intend to pursue a career
in law are eligible for this $1,000 scholarship award.
Criteria
*One letter of recommendation (which includes campus activities, academic and athletic honors, and
justification for earning this award).
*Academic major and grade point average
*Basketball statistics for all four years of college (FG%, FT%, rebounds, assists,
etc.)
Nomination
All active A & B WBCA member head coaches are eligible to nominate any individual
on their team who fits the above criteria. Nomination forms are made available to
all eligible voting members via the WBCA web site (WBCA.org) in January.
Selection
The WBCA Scholarship Awards Committee will review the candidates and select
the recipient.
Presentation
The Charles T. Stoner Law Scholarship Award is presented annually at the WBCA Awards Luncheon
during the WBCA National Convention.
