Kai Williams Joins the WBCA Team
Atlanta, Ga. - Kai Williams joined the WBCA in February of 2006 as the company's first-ever marketing coordinator. Specifically, Williams will be involved in sponsorship activation, assisting in the generation of leads for new sponsors and assisting in all other marketing and branding efforts at the WBCA.

Williams received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from William Paterson University located in Wayne, New Jersey. Currently, she is in the process of obtaining her Masters in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. In addition, Williams, along with other notable women from the Atlanta area, organized a chapter of a women's professional networking organization called W.I.S.E. (Women in Sports and Events) for which she is the former Vice President and Co-Founder.

Most recently she was employed at NYC2012, U.S. Applicant City for the 2012 Olympic Games. Prior to working with NYC2012, Williams earned a position as a Public Relations Programs Department Intern with the prestigious United States Olympic Committee, (USOC) headquartered in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Finally, she began her career in sports as the Public Relations intern at the Women's Sports Foundation in Long Island, New York. Her duties included: constructing the department's newsletter, interacting with domestic and international media outlets (print, broadcast), assisting in the marketing strategies/promotions of the Awards and Grants given by the Foundation and being point of contact for professional athletes during the Foundation's Annual Award Dinner held at the Waldorf-Astoria.

Founded in 1981, the WBCA promotes women's basketball by unifying coaches at all levels to develop a reputable identity for the sport and to foster and promote the development of the game in all of its aspects as an amateur sport for women and girls.
