ATLANTA (March 12, 2003) - The Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) and The Eastman Kodak Company today announced the finalists for the 2003 NCAA Division I Kodak/WBCA All-America Women's Basketball Team. WBCA member coaches of the Kodak/WBCA All-America Selection Committee in each of the eight WBCA geographical regions select the Kodak/WBCA All-America Team. The NCAA Division I Kodak/WBCA Honorable Mention Finalists are listed below by region:
"Each year it is a delight to see the talented young athletes who have been selected as the NCAA Division I Kodak/WBCA All-America Honorable Mentions," said Beth Bass, WBCA Chief Executive Officer. "We are honored to remain a long-time partner with Kodak to recognize these outstanding athletes for their contribution to the sport of women's basketball." Founded in 1981, the WBCA promotes women's basketball by unifying coaches at all levels to develop a reputable identity for the sport and to foster and promote the development of the game as an amateur sport for women and girls. on April 4th at 4:00 p.m. at Georgia Tech's Alexander Memorial Coliseum in Atlanta,
