Charles T. Stoner Law Scholarship Award

Definition
The $1,000 Charles T. Stoner Law Scholarship Award is presented annually to one senior, female collegiate basketball player who intends to pursue a career in law. Any applicant is only eligible to win one scholarship award.

Eligibility
All senior, female collegiate basketball players who intend to pursue a career in law are eligible for this $1,000 scholarship award.

Criteria
• One letter of recommendation (which includes campus activities, academic and athletic honors, and justification for earning this award)
• Academic major and grade point average
• Present year game-by-game statistics

Nomination
All collegiate WBCA member head coaches are eligible to nominate any individual on their team who fits the above criteria. Nomination forms are made available online.

Selection
Each selection committee member will have access to view all online submissions prior to their selection conference call. In late February, a conference call is held and nominations are discussed and a recipient is chosen.

The Charles T. Stoner Law Scholarship Award is presented annually by Tim Stoner at the WBCA Awards Luncheon during the WBCA National Convention.
