Robin Roberts/WBCA Broadcasting Scholarship Award
Definition
The $4,000 Robin Roberts/WBCA Broadcasting Scholarship is presented annually to a senior, female collegiate basketball player who intends to pursue graduate work and a career in sports communications/journalism.
Eligibility
All senior, female collegiate basketball players who intend to pursue graduate work and a career in sports communications/journalism are eligible for this award. Any applicant is only eligible to win one scholarship award.
Criteria
• One letter of recommendation from head coach which includes campus/community activities, academic and athletic honors and justification for earning award
• Academic major and grade point average
• Present year game-by-game statistics
Nomination
All collegiate WBCA member head coaches are eligible to nominate any individual on their team who fits the above criteria. Nomination forms are made available online.
Selection
Each committee member will have access to view online submissions prior to their selection conference call. The committee holds a conference call to select the recipient, based upon the nomination form and the supporting recommendations.

The Robin Roberts/WBCA Broadcasting Scholarship Award is presented annually at the WBCA Awards Luncheon during the WBCA National Convention.
