State Farm/WBCA Players of the Year

Definition
Presented annually to the best women's basketball player in NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, NAIA, Junior College/Community College, and High School.

Eligibility
All academically eligible women's basketball players in each of the five divisions (DII, DIII, NAIA, JC, High School) qualify as candidates.

Criteria
• Present year game-by-game statistics
• Effect on team
• Leadership
• Character
• Overall playing ability

Nomination
The 10 members of the WBCA Coaches' All-America Team in each collegiate division (NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, NAIA, and JC/CC) are eligible to receive this award. For high school, the 20 members of the WBCA High School All-America Team are eligible.

Selection
Winners are selected from the pool of WBCA Coaches' All-America Teams. The top WBCA Coaches' All-America vote-getter in each collegiate division is named the State Farm/WBCA Player of the Year. The State Farm/WBCA High School Player of the Year must be a member of the WBCA High School All-America Team and is chosen by the WBCA High School All-America Selection Committee.

Presentation
The State Farm/WBCA Players of the Year are honored annually at the WBCA National Convention as well as at the championship banquet in each respective division. The State Farm/WBCA High School Player of the Year is announced at the WBCA High School All-America Game.
