Andrea Kane joined the WBCA communications department in late November 2009. As Manager of Communications, Kane provides communication support to the Director of Communications including maintenance of social media outlets and e-newsletter, writing for Coaching Women's Basketball magazine and press releases.

Kane comes to the WBCA after spending two years with the PGA TOUR media relations department assisting with media center setup at various tournaments, press release distribution, maintenance of the PGA TOUR's media website and researching media coverage.

Kane graduated from East Tennessee State University with her Master's in Sport Management in 2007. While at ETSU, she worked as a graduate assistant within the Kinesiology department teaching health and physical education classes.

Kane earned her Bachelor's degree from Ashland University in Sport Communication and Electronic Media Production in 2005. While at AU, she assisted in the sports information office all four years helping with various media guides, press releases and game day operations.

During her sophomore year, Kane interned with the Akron Aeros minor league baseball team, and during her junior year she interned with the United States Track and Field Association.
