Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer participation is the cornerstone upon which the WBCA is built. Today, more than 300 members volunteer their time to serve on committees, as conference captains, on ad-hoc groups and more.

Get Involved

Here are just a few ways you can volunteer your time and expertise:
• Volunteer to be a conference captain, or serve on the WBCA Board of Directors.
• Nominate and vote in the WBCA Awards Program.
• Serve on a committee that selects award winners or votes on the USA TODAY/ESPN Top 25 Coaches' Polls.
• Submit articles or plays and drills for Coaching Women's Basketball, the organization's official magazine.
• Write an article, submit a play or drill, or participate in a video for WBCA.org.
• Speak at the WBCA National Convention. The invitation to present is posted each summer for the next convention.
• Complete the annual membership survey, which helps define the association's focus from year to year.
• Share your thoughts on legislation and regulations with WBCA legislative staff.
• Serve on a temporary ad-hoc group that helps steer or provide resources to a specific project or event.
