Alicen Kikkert has been added to the WBCA staff as the Membership and Convention Registration Coordinator. Her duties include day-to-day membership operations and registration for the WBCA National Convention.
Alicen is a 2002 graduate of the University of Florida, where she majored in Communications, with an emphasis in television. During her senior year, she interned with the Sports Department at the local ABC affiliate, WCJB TV20. Other stints included working at the University Of Notre Dame Athletic Department from September 2002 through September 2003 and the University of Connecticut Athletic Department from October 2003-June 2004. It was during this time, in April 2004, that both the UConn men’s and women’s basketball programs won national championships.
Alicen began her Sport Management Master’s Degree at Georgia Southern University in August 2004, graduating in May 2006. During those two years she was a graduate assistant in the Athletic Business Office. While continuing to work in the Business Office, she also completed her internship with GSU’s Student-Athlete Services Department. Alicen was promoted to the Assistant Business Manager upon completion of her graduate assistantship, where she stayed for one more year before coming to the WBCA in September 2007.
Alicen is also a proud member of the University of Florida Alumni Association and the Atlanta Gator Club.
