Julie Donlin (formally Guttowsky) has been on the WBCA staff as the Coordinator of Legislation and Research since March 2008. Her duties include tracking and monitoring the progress of all basketball-related NCAA legislation through the NCAA legislative cycle, manage the WBCA conference captains program, assist in responding to all inquires pertaining to legislation, recruiting, and basketball related issues, assist in preparing agendas and logistics for all business meetings hosted by the WBCA, legislative research, and other duties pertaining to legislation. Julie is also responsible for legislative materials in CWB, Compliance Corner newsletters, email alerts, conference captain documents, and website updates.
Prior to coming to the WBCA, Donlin worked as the compliance intern for The University of Tennessee Men’s Athletic Department. Her duties included the day to day compliance operations, website updates, and working the home football and men’s basketball games at the player pass gate.
In August 2007, Julie completed her Master of Arts in Sport Management while working as a graduate assistant in athletic compliance at East Tennessee State University. In the summer of 2007, Donlin worked with the City of Johnson City, TN developing and running the first ever “Fit to Play” camp for children ages 6-14.
Julie graduated from Fairmont State University (FSU) in December 2004 with a double major in Sport Management and Marketing. Donlin successfully played two years of basketball at FSU before injuring her knee and was unable to continue playing. Julie married Desmond Donlin in April 2009. The two currently reside in Duluth, GA. She is excited to be involved in women’s basketball again with the WBCA.
