Association Updates 

WBCA Convention Registration. Online registration ends Feb. 29. After Feb. 29 you must register on site and the fee will increase. Information about hotels, NCAA® Women’s Final Four®tickets, etc., can be found here.



Nominations open for select awards. The following award nominations are online until Feb. 12: Coaches’ All-America Teams, Assistant Coaches of the Year, National Coaches of the Year, Russell Athletic Together We R Team Award, Thirty Under 30 and Victory Club. The United States Marine Corps/WBCA NCAA DI National Coach of the Year Award is accepting nominations until Feb. 24.

New awards available. The WBCA has established two new awards – Assistant Coaches of the Year and Thirty Under 30. These awards will provide recognition to future leaders of our game. For complete details visit WBCA Awards Program.

MaxPreps/WBCA Player of the Week. Each week the WBCA and MaxPreps select a girls’ high school basketball player from each of nine geographic regions for the MaxPreps/WBCA Player of the Week award.

Kay Yow Cancer Fund

Play 4Kay video. The Kay Yow Cancer Fund has created a Play 4Kay video to tell the story of Coach Yow and her vision for the Fund. Please share this video with your team, fans and survivors. The video can also be shared on social media and on your athletic website.

2016 Play 4Kay. The 2016 Play 4Kay will take place Feb. 12-22, alternate game dates can be planned to accommodate schedules.
