Association Updates

Awards. Nominations for Allstate WBCA Good Works Team®, Carol Eckman Award, Jostens-Berenson Lifetime Achievement Award, Mel Greenberg Media Award and WBCA Administrator of the Year, as well as the “So You Want To Be A Coach” program close at 5 p.m. ET Friday, Oct. 23.

DIII Committee Weighs in on Social Media Contact. One Division III committee has voiced its opposition to a proposal that was discussed on Sept. 17-18 in Indianapolis that would deregulate social media.

Related NCAA Proposals. The NCAA has released legislative proposals for Division I, Division II and Division III.

Division I Evaluation Periods. View the 2015-16 recruiting calendar to see the evaluation periods for the upcoming season.

NCAA Tournament Reverting to Old Format. The NCAA women’s basketball tournament will return to having first-round games on Saturday and Sunday this season. Regional semifinals will also be on Saturday and Sunday.

Webinars. The NCAA will hold monthly webinars for developing your marketing, in-venue and social media strategies to increase awareness of your regular-season games. The next meeting will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 10. Mark your calendar!
